RDC’s leadership team has an understanding of our customer’s needs, since our organization is run by a team of industry veterans who have managed risk and compliance for Fortune 50 organizations. Our senior management and board are drawn from internationally recognized talent from diverse private and public sector expertise areas that are precisely aligned with RDC’s core mission and values. These specialties include financial services, business compliance and information technology, as well as regulatory, law enforcement and intelligence.

Management:

Anthony Capon, Vice President of Data Strategy

Mr. Capon is a leading information industry executive with more than 25 years experience in data management, resourcing and research. Prior to joining RDC he served as the Vice President of Content for Dow Jones responsible for the research team behind their Risk and Compliance offerings and the processing of intelligently coded articles in 26 languages into the Factiva archive.  Before Dow Jones, he was part of the UK-based team behind the first Reuters Business Briefing (RBB) product and  moved to Singapore to expand RBB’s Chinese and Japanese capabilities. Joining the Dow Jones and Reuters joint venture Factiva, he moved to the US in 2001 to work on the technology that established the Factiva Source Processing engine; the system which takes in the thousands of sources and millions of articles into the Factiva products. As well as managing hundreds of researchers Mr Capon also helped drive the strategic acquisition of new content onto the Factiva platform and worked closely with Publishers around the globe.

Tom Fogarty, President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Tom Fogarty has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, having held management positions with software, technology services and telecommunications companies, including Axeda Systems, Ravisent Technologies, DecisionOne, and Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). In his prior role at Axeda, Mr. Fogarty was Executive VP and CFO, responsible for Corporate and Business Development, Investor Relations, as well as all finance and compliance at the NASDAQ listed firm. His experience also includes CFO positions at Ravisent Technologies, DecisionOne, and VP-Finance at Bell Atlantic Business Systems services. Education includes both a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Amanda Harrell, Chief Marketing Officer

Ms. Harrell offers 20+ years of strategic and analytical marketing experience as RDC's Chief Marketing Officer. She leads the company's strategic marketing and customer analytics, brand development, lead generation, digital media and corporate communications.

 

Ms. Harrell joins RDC from Cigna Healthcare as Vice President Head of Strategy and Marketing Medicare after successfully launching several multi-modal lead generation campaigns that produced incremental revenue and profitable earnings with an average 150% ROI. Prior to Cigna Healthcare, Ms. Harrell was Vice President-Global Marketing of Construction, Transportation and Industrial at De Lage Landen Financial Services, where she was responsible for all global strategic and analytical marketing initiatives within the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.  During her time at De Lage Landen, Ms. Harrell lead numerous award winning campaigns that help strengthen the organization's commercial presence by millions of dollars, drive incremental market share including improved cross-sell volumes by a minimum of 30%, and strengthen client satisfaction rates of 97% or greater. Ms Harrell has also served in a number of other senior leadership positions at GMAC Commercial Mortgage, Fifth Third Bank, Ford Motor Company, and NBC Affiliate. Ms. Harrell's broad scale of professional experience includes a clear understanding of how to drive commercial excellence through strategic marketing superiority, deliver a unique customer centric experience for clients and prospects and support product innovation via market analytics and competitive intelligence.
 

Thomas J. Hourican, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Tom brings over 13 years of financial management experience and expertise to the RDC organization.  In this role, Tom directs all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning, interface with the financial community, financial analysis, and monitoring of financial performance. Tom is committed to maximizing long-term shareholder value and maintaining the high level of integrity for which RDC is known. Prior to joining RDC, Tom gained a well-rounded accounting and finance background with Grant Thornton and Orleans Homebuilders. Tom holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Villanova University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

James Lin, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. James Lin is a senior IT executive with extensive experience in developing innovative technology solutions to deliver client value and drive revenue growth. He joins RDC from Forbes.com, where he served as Chief Information Officer and spearheaded technology innovations to power what is widely regarded as the "home page for the world's business leaders." His overall technological leadership was instrumental in transforming Forbes.com into the #1 business site on the Web that reached more than 18 million people around the globe each month. Prior to Forbes.com, Dr. Lin delivered technological solutions and information services for financial institutions worldwide, having held senior positions with Standard & Poor's, Merrill Lynch, and Clearbook Financial. He holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional. 

Anurag Mathur, Chief Product Officer

Mr. Mathur is a senior product management executive with over 17 years' experience with various technology companies. He joins RDC from Microsoft where he was a senior product manager driving the successful global release of Windows 7.  He also helped develop the worldwide, multi-billion dollar channel strategy, drove significant new growth from a revamped Emerging Markets effort, and successfully implemented a new pricing strategy for their corporate and public sector initiatives. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Mathur was the senior product manager responsible for transforming the Financial Services Americas business at SAP through new product development, channel initiatives, and strategy.  Before SAP, Mr Mathur played a key role in the product and business development of the rapidly growing, Sanchez Computer Associates, which was acquired by FIS Global. Mr Mathur received his MBA from Columbia Business School and undergraduate degree from Kings College in PA.

Darrin McLaughlin, CAMS, Managing Director, Strategic Client Solutions

Mr. McLaughlin started his career as a white-collar crime investigator focusing on Fraud before moving his focus to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Finance after 9/11. He is a well-respected expert with extensive experience as an AML Compliance Officer with several major international financial institutions throughout the course of his career including Fortis Merchant Bank, Citigroup Investment Bank, the Asset Management Division of Deutsche Bank and most recently the Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities Group of Macquarie Holdings USA.  Throughout his career he has focused on all aspects of Anti-Money Laundering including, policy and procedure development & implementation, KYC & CIP reviews, conducting Enhanced Due Diligence reviews, Transaction Monitoring, managing remediation projects and coordinating internal/external exams with audit and/or various regulators.

 

Mr. McLaughlin also served as Senior Fraud Investigator for a major international Insurance company handling investigations of fraud, identity theft and other various white collar crimes.  As a former Compliance Officer, he understands the AML issues faced by our clients as well as the solutions needed to address these issues.  Mr. McLaughlin is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist who delivers educational seminars at a variety of compliance and regulatory conferences throughout the world.  He received both his MS and BS degrees in Business Management from St. Joseph’s College.
 

Thomas Obermaier, Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining RDC, Mr. Tom Obermaier was the Chief Risk Officer for Citigroup’s Global Transaction Services, a wholesale supplier of banking, security and risk services to financial institutions, governments and corporate clients worldwide. As CRO, he was responsible for all risk - including credit, market, operations, liquidity and regulatory. He managed $1.6 trillion in risk positions daily spread across 104 countries. He was also a member of the Management Committee, whose leadership drove revenue growth from $1.7 billion when he joined to over $10.8 billion when he joined RDC.

 

Mr. Obermaier is an internationally recognized expert on risk matters, particularly regulatory risk and systemic issues surrounding payments and securities settlements. A founding member of the international regulatory council, the Wolfsberg Group, Mr. Obermaier was one of the industry’s first advocates of extending risk management fundamentals to the regulatory compliance arena. A well-regarded risk expert in the anti-money laundering field, he has designed global compliance systems premised on risk management fundamentals.

 

Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Obermaier was the Chief Risk Officer for Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Bank. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer of its Cash Management business, spearheading the Company’s venture into e-business solutions such as mobile telephone payment capabilities. Before Deutsche, Mr. Obermaier was the Global Head of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance at Bankers Trust Company. Previous to that, he was a white collar criminal defense lawyer at the international law firm Skadden Arps. Mr. Obermaier has also held a number of positions with the United States Government.

Board:

John M. Connolly, Director

Mr. John Connolly joined Bain Capital Ventures (BCV) in 2009 and currently serves as Managing Director and Head of the BCV Operating Group. As Head of the BCV Operating Group, John’s focus is on partnering with a number of CEO's and management teams across the BCV portfolio companies address the strategic and operational opportunities that enable their companies to accelerate their growth.

 

Mr. Connolly has held a number of positions over the years: Founder of two companies, CEO of five companies, Non-Executive Chairman/Chairman at four companies, and a Board Member at 14 companies to date. His passion is partnering with his colleagues at Bain Capital Ventures and the CEO's of their portfolio companies in helping build both successful and, most importantly, valuable companies. Mr. Connolly received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Norbert College and attended the Executive Education Program at INSEAD.
 

Clare Hart, Director

Ms. Hart brings more than 20 years of experience as an executive leading global expansions and growth strategies in business and information services companies around the world. She recently served as President and CEO of Infogroup, and was a member of its board of directors. Prior to joining Infogroup, Ms. Hart was Executive Vice President of Dow Jones & Company.

 

Ms. Hart has won numerous awards for her leadership and innovation including being honored in Inside Market Data’s 2010 Hall of Fame, where she was recognized as “The Visionary” for making a profound impact in the market data industry. Ms. Hart received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and computer systems management from Drexel University in Philadelphia and an M.B.A. from Rider University in New Jersey.

Eric B. Herr, Director

Mr. Eric B. Herr brings over 25 years of senior management experience in a variety of industries including software, media, finance, and consulting industries. While at Autodesk, Inc., the fifth largest PC software company in the world, Mr. Herr served as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Herr also served as Chief Financial Officer during his time at Autodesk.

 

Prior to joining Autodesk, Mr. Herr served as Vice President of Finance and Planning, Worldwide Field Organization at Sun Microsystems where he was responsible for building a successful customer program and leading the strategic restructuring of the sales organization. He also held senior executive positions at other reputable and successful companies including strategic consulting company Michael Allen Company, McGraw-Hill Publications, Lionel D. Edie investment counselors, and Data Resources.
 
Mr. Herr has served as a Board Member and Chair for a variety of companies including several non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross, Whole Village Family Resource Center, and Project Adventure. He also served as an Executive-in-Residence, teaching the capstone course for MBA students at the University of New Hampshire.

Frank R. Sanchez, Director

Mr. Sanchez is Chief Executive Officer of OurBond, Inc., a technology and business services company that builds integrated online and offline communities for both corporate clients and consumers.  Prior to OurBond, he was the President of Strategic Solutions at Fidelity National Information Services Inc. and served as Chief Executive Officer of Sanchez Computer Associates, Inc.

 

Throughout his career, Mr. Sanchez has contributed numerous technical and business innovations to the financial services and IT industries.  He was the chief architect and developer of one of the industry's most successful core e-banking platforms, which is installed in hundreds of financial institutions around the world.  Additionally, he deployed the industry's first core banking system in Central Europe, the first internet-only bank, and the first banking SOA application.  Mr. Sanchez attended the University of Connecticut where he studied Astrophysics and Finance.

Charles Stryker, Director

Dr. Charles Stryker is the Founder and President of Venture Development Center, a professional advisory firm and a recognized innovator in the information services field. Dr. Stryker serves on the board of a number of public- and private-sector companies, including Greenfield Online, ARGI, Conclusive Marketing, Innography, NetFactor, Reunion.com, Samba, Triton Technologies, and V12. Throughout his career, Dr. Stryker has specialized in creating new distribution concepts to allow information services companies to create products that precisely meet market requirements and can scale rapidly in the marketplace. 

 

Dr. Stryker is an active speaker and author on the topic of database product development and served in the 1990s as a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, where he taught courses in the School's Entrepreneurial Center.
