Our senior management and board are drawn from internationally recognized talent from diverse private and public sector expertise areas that are precisely aligned with RDC’s core mission and values. These specialties include financial services, business compliance and information technology, as well as regulatory, law enforcement and intelligence.

Management:

Thomas Obermaier, Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining RDC, Mr. Tom Obermaier was the Chief Risk Officer for Citigroup’s Global Transaction Services, a wholesale supplier of banking, security and risk services to financial institutions, governments and corporate clients worldwide. As CRO, he was responsible for all risk - including credit, market, operations, liquidity and regulatory. He managed $1.6 trillion in risk positions daily spread across 104 countries. He was also a member of the Management Committee, whose leadership drove revenue growth from $1.7 billion when he joined to over $10.8 billion when he joined RDC.

 

Mr. Obermaier is an internationally recognized expert on risk matters, particularly regulatory risk and systemic issues surrounding payments and securities settlements. A founding member of the international regulatory council, the Wolfsberg Group, Mr. Obermaier was one of the industry’s first advocates of extending risk management fundamentals to the regulatory compliance arena. A well-regarded risk expert in the anti-money laundering field, he has designed global compliance systems premised on risk management fundamentals.

 

Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Obermaier was the Chief Risk Officer for Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Bank. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer of its Cash Management business, spearheading the Company’s venture into e-business solutions such as mobile telephone payment capabilities. Before Deutsche, Mr. Obermaier was the Global Head of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance at Bankers Trust Company. Previous to that, he was a white collar criminal defense lawyer at the international law firm Skadden Arps. Mr. Obermaier has also held a number of positions with the United States Government.

Austin Paris, Senior Vice President of Sales

Mr. Austin Paris is an accomplished senior sales leader and has an extremely diverse background in Consumer and Commercial Information services spanning over 20 successful years in the Information Industry. Prior to joining RDC, Austin spent 12 years with Equifax Information Services, one of the world's largest providers of consumer and commercial information solutions. At Equifax, Austin was responsible for assembling the strategic sales team that successfully launched Equifax into the Commercial Information Industry and helped establish the SBFE (Small Business Financial Exchange). In his sales leadership role at Equifax, Mr. Paris delivered 29 percent year-over-year revenue growth. Mr. Paris also spent 11 successful years with Dun & Bradstreet. During his 11-year career with D&B, Mr. Paris held various senior positions in Information Resources, Sales, and Sales Management as well as a position as Director of Personalized Sales and Services.

Tom Fogarty, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Tom Fogarty has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, having held management positions with software, technology services and telecommunications companies, including Axeda Systems, Ravisent Technologies, DecisionOne, and Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). In his prior role at Axeda, Mr. Fogarty was Executive VP and CFO, responsible for Corporate and Business Development, Investor Relations, as well as all finance and compliance at the NASDAQ listed firm. His experience also includes CFO positions at Ravisent Technologies, DecisionOne, and VP-Finance at Bell Atlantic Business Systems services. Education includes both a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Kevin J. Ford, Head of RDC Consultancy Practice

Prior to joining RDC, Mr. Kevin Ford was an Associate General Counsel in the Business Intelligence Group of Goldman Sachs & Co. for more than a decade. Mr. Ford was responsible for conducting enhanced due diligence on hundreds of new clients, products, and services worldwide. In 2000, Mr. Ford was appointed to the post of Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Goldman Sachs International, in which capacity he developed the first comprehensive anti-money laundering program for Goldman Sachs EMEA operations.

 

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 1998, Mr. Ford had a distinguished 26-year career in law enforcement serving in a variety of United States law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal levels. Mr. Ford served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in Manhattan from 1983 through 1996 and, prior to that, was a detective in Santa Clara County, California and later in San Francisco, where he specialized in organized crime and corruption cases. Between 1994 and 1998, Mr. Ford served as the Deputy Commissioner of Investigation for the City of New York. From 1990 until 1994, Mr. Ford was the First Assistant Inspector General for the New York City School Construction Authority where he helped to establish one of the most effective KYC due diligence and anti-corruption programs in the United States.

 

Mr. Ford is a member of Interpol's Group of Experts on Corruption. Mr. Ford is also a member of the Board for Transparency International - USA and has served as a member of the International Anti-Corruption Conference Council from 1993-2005 (Chairman 1997-2001). Mr. Ford represents Goldman Sachs on the Wolfsberg Group, an association of eleven global banks which have developed financial services industry standards, and related products, for Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering and Counterterrorist Financing policies.

Anne Jablonski, Risk Intelligence Strategy Director

Ms. Anne Jablonski is a recognized expert on international corporate issues including FCPA, due diligence, offshore financial centers, political risk, and financial crime. Prior to joining RDC, she was Managing Director of a business consulting company specializing in FCPA advisory services, business intelligence, and homeland security solutions.

 

Her deep regional expertise on the economy and politics of post-Communist states directly supported senior White House and other U.S. Cabinet officials during 23 years of service in the U.S. intelligence community. During this time, Ms. Jablonski was one of the country's most sought-after experts for analysis of the state-crime-business nexus in transitioning states. Her success in creating bridges between intelligence and law enforcement operations created scores of enduring security partnerships. Her hybrid due diligence model for judging the influence of nonstate actors and methodologies for investigating politically exposed person networks directly supported top US policymakers.

 

William L. Burmeister, General Counsel, Head of AML Outsourcing Practice

Prior to this position, Mr. William Burmeister was Director of Compliance at Oxford Health Plans, where he oversaw both regulatory compliance and health care fraud issues. Mr. Burmeister began his legal career in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office where he prosecuted narcotics and violent crimes. He then joined the New York State Organized Crime Task Force as an Assistant Attorney General where he investigated and prosecuted racketeering, anti-trust and narcotics offenses. Following his tenure on the Task Force, Mr. Burmeister worked in the litigation practice of a large private law firm. In 1990, he returned to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office where he directed the Official Corruption section for 10 years. In that capacity, he directed hundreds of investigations involving corruption, narcotics offenses, financial crimes, money laundering and violent crimes.

James Lin, Chief Technology Officer

James Lin is a senior IT executive with extensive experience in developing innovative technology solutions to deliver client value and drive revenue growth. Prior to joining RDC, he was the Chief Information Officer at Forbes.com, where he provided overall technology leadership and oversaw all technology operations and development initiatives. He was responsible for software engineering, web production, infrastructure operations, and quality assurance. Before that, James was the Head of Client Solutions at Clearbrook Financial, an investment solutions and advisory services firm. He spearheaded the development of the Advisor Workstation online investment platform that offered access to broad choices of money managers and fully integrated operational services.

 

Previously, James managed web information solutions and marketing technology development at Merrill Lynch. He orchestrated the re-architecture and reengineering of askmerrill.com (Merrill Lynch wealth management web portal) and led web integration initiatives at Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group. He also served as Director of Web Development at Standard & Poor's, where he was responsible for technology development and operations of standardandpoors.com, and total quality assurance and process reengineering of ratings information services. James holds a Ph.D. degree from MIT.

Board:

Jeffrey Schwartz, Director

Mr. Jeffrey Schwartz is a Director of RDC and also a founding Partner of and Managing Director of Bain Capital Ventures. Prior to Bain Capital Ventures, Mr. Schwartz worked at Wellington Management Company, where he was a portfolio manager for several public equities funds. He also served in the Equity Capital Markers Group of Merrill Lynch. In addition to his firm and portfolio company responsibilities, Mr. Schwartz serves on the Board of MetroLacrosse, the Investment Committee of the Noble and Greenough School and coaches several youth athletic teams. Mr. Schwartz holds a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard University Business School.

David N. Lawrence, Director

Mr. David Lawrence is Associate General Counsel and head of the Business Intelligence Group at Goldman Sachs. The group has global responsibility for a wide range of regulatory and due diligence matters. In this capacity, Mr. Lawrence provides coverage for Goldman Sachs' investment banking, fixed income, merchant banking, equities and asset management divisions. He serves on the firm's Commitments, Capital, Credit Markets, and Private Equities Group committees and routinely advises several of the firm's investment committees. He was named a Managing Director of Goldman Sachs in 1999.

 

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Lawrence was an Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney's Office,Southern District of New York for nearly 10 years, during which time he served as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division and Chief of the Public Corruption and General Crimes Units. He holds a BA, magna cum laude from Brandeis University and a JD from New York University.

 

 

 

Charles Stryker, Director

Dr. Charles Stryker is the Founder and President of Venture Development Center, a professional advisory firm and a recognized innovator in the information services field. Dr. Stryker serves on the board of a number of public- and private-sector companies, including Greenfield Online, ARGI, Conclusive Marketing, Innography, NetFactor, Reunion.com, Samba, Triton Technologies, and V12. Throughout his career, Dr. Stryker has specialized in creating new distribution concepts to allow information services companies to create products that precisely meet market requirements and can scale rapidly in the marketplace. 

 

Dr. Stryker is an active speaker and author on the topic of database product development and served in the 1990s as a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, where he taught courses in the School's Entrepreneurial Center.

 

Eric B. Herr, Director

Mr. Eric B. Herr brings over 25 years of senior management experience in a variety of industries including software, media, finance, and consulting industries. While at Autodesk, Inc., the fifth largest PC software company in the world, Mr. Herr served as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Herr also served as Chief Financial Officer during his time at Autodesk.

 

Prior to joining Autodesk, Mr. Herr served as Vice President of Finance and Planning, Worldwide Field Organization at Sun Microsystems where he was responsible for building a successful customer program and leading the strategic restructuring of the sales organization. He also held senior executive positions at other reputable and successful companies including strategic consulting company Michael Allen Company, McGraw-Hill Publications, Lionel D. Edie investment counselors, and Data Resources.
 
Mr. Herr has served as a Board Member and Chair for a variety of companies including several non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross, Whole Village Family Resource Center, and Project Adventure. He also served as an Executive-in-Residence, teaching the capstone course for MBA students at the University of New Hampshire.
