Industry experts leverage global information, leading edge technology, and industry experience
RDC is a US-based company that was formed by financial sector leaders with the objective of developing enhanced and best of class regulatory, financial, and reputational risk management products and technologies. The company’s data aggregation, product development, and technology efforts are designed to provide continuing information management support for enhanced diligence capabilities, regulatory compliance, reputational management, cost-effective loss prevention and mitigation, remediation processes, and informed regulatory disclosure and reporting.
RDC is constituted to serve a wide international community of governmental, private sector, academic, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). From its inception, RDC has worked with experienced former regulators, active enforcement professionals, educators, and industry practitioners to ensure transparency and drive innovative solutions to problems shared by both the private and public sectors.
Twenty major financial institutions, responding to the threats to business from money laundering, bank fraud, securities and mortage fraud, corruption, terrorist and illicit finance, narcotics trafficking, organized crime, antitrust, environmental and human rights violations, embargoes and sanctions (OFAC) and other risk-related activities, created the vision for RDC. In 2002, new post-9/11 regulatory requirements induced these institutions to begin building a world-class, cost-effective compliance, remediation, and risk mitigation data company.
In 2007, Bain Capital Ventures made a significant investment in and became the controlling shareholder of RDC. Bain's investment enabled RDC to enhance its information technology infrastructure, expand its menu of customized data delivery services, and further refine the breadth and quality of its data.
